Before Atticus Said Yes: 

An examination of issues raised by the appointment of Atticus Finch to represent Tom Robinson in To Kill A Mockingbird  including a look at equal protection, due process, and right to counsel issues from the perspective of the judge, bar president, sheriff – and Atticus.

This program has been captured on DVD and can be presented to groups of lawyers and/or non-lawyers with a guided discussion following the DVD.  There is no fee for this event, but donations to LAET are appreciated.

Overview of Domestic Violence: 

Information about obtaining and enforcing orders of protection, other relief available in order of protection cases (e.g., child support), domestic violence involving juveniles, evidence and social media, restrictions on firearms, ethical and legal implications of mediation involving domestic violence victims, and a panel discussion of local rules and practice with local judges and practitioners.
